CSD Online Payment System in afd.csdindia.gov.in for AFD Items
The recently updated Online Payment System and Loan Payment Process, developed by the CSD AFD Team, now enables the seamless acquisition of AFD items through the CSD AFD Portal at afd.csdindia.gov.in.
Important Revisions to CSD AFD Payment Procedures
Effective December 1, 2023, significant changes are being introduced to the payment procedures of the CSD AFD online portal. Moving forward, prior approval will be required before making full or loan payments for any product purchase. To initiate the payment process, a Demand for payment will be generated, which will then undergo validation by the appropriate Depot. Only upon receiving approval of your payment demand from the relevant Depot will you be provided with the payment link to proceed further. This newly streamlined process aims to simplify subsequent steps once the Depot has finalized the sale of your product.
Compulsory Acceptance of Revised CSD Payment System
All users of the revised CSD payment system are obligated to acknowledge and accept the new terms and conditions. Upon selecting the ‘Shop Now’ button in the CSD AFD Portal, a new window will open. This can be accomplished by selecting the designated checkbox on the official CSD AFD portal [refer to the image]. Once acceptance is confirmed, beneficiaries will have the ability to proceed with the login process. It is important to emphasize that the system’s interface has undergone significant changes, resulting in a distinct appearance compared to the previous version. Failure to familiarize oneself with these modifications may confuse when attempting to locate the payment link.

AFD Portal Online Payment Guidelines for 2024
It is imperative to ensure that all payments are made from the beneficiary’s account. Payments originating from third-party accounts will not be accepted, and any such requests will be declined by the depot. Cash transactions will not be entertained.
Online payments can be conveniently made through the Payment Gateway integrated with the AFD CSD Portal, which facilitates the following modes of payment:
1. Credit/Debit Card
2. UPI
3. Net Banking
4. Bank Transfer
Please take note of the following instructions:
1. Beneficiaries are strictly required to make payments exclusively from their accounts using any of the aforementioned payment modes. Any amount transferred from an account other than the individual’s will be considered a Third Party Transfer, which may result in the rejection of the demand by CSD Depots.
2. If the cost of the AFD item exceeds Rs.10 Lakhs, beneficiaries will have the option to split the payment into two separate online transactions. This provision is intended to overcome the maximum amount limitation imposed by SBI Bank for net banking transactions.
Guidelines for Offline Payment via AFD Portal in 2024
If you choose to make a payment through Bank Transfer, it is recommended to download the e-challan provided by the Payment Gateway. This document contains important information such as the virtual Account number, IFSC code, and the precise amount to be deposited using NEFT/RTGS.
The Virtual Account number, which can be found in the e-challan, consists of a 16-digit account number where the first 9 digits always remain the same (222333154xxxxxxx). The IFSC Code to be used for the transaction is always YESB0CMSNOC.
To complete the payment, please obtain a printout of the e-challan and visit your bank. Present the e-challan to the bank and request them to process the NEFT/RTGS transaction exactly as specified in the document.
It is important to note that each e-challan payment is valid for a single transaction only. If the amount transferred does not match the amount mentioned on the e-challan, the Payment Gateway will reject the transaction. In such cases, a refund will be issued back to your bank account.
