AFD CSD Online Portal Login and Registration Process
The AFD CSD Online Portal provides users with a convenient and accessible platform for purchasing AFD items for Armed Forces Personnel! To access the portal, users must first complete the registration process. This involves providing personal information such as name, address, contact, and service details. Once approved by the CSD AFD Team, users can then log in to the portal using their unique username and password.

The registration process is easy. Here is a detailed step-by-step pictorial guide given to help you register and log in for the first time. A one-time registration is mandatory for all CSD AFD customers. If you want to enter the online portal, you have to register and get approval from the CSD Team.
How to Register in CSD AFD Online Portal?
Step 1: Open the Website https://afd.csdindia.gov.in. Home page of the website
Step 2: To start the registration click on “SHOP NOW”.

Step 3: Click on “Not a member yet? Register Now”. This option enables new users to register on the website. Before you start registration, make sure to keep the following things with you:
1. Grocery/ Canteen card
2. Pan card
3. Mobile number for OTP verification
Step 4: Illustrate the registration form. Name, Card ID, and Chip number should be exactly the way they are printed on the Grocery card/ Canteen card. The mobile number will be verified through OTP. After entering number

If a new user with a username/ grocery card/ PAN number already exists, an error screen will be displayed. No user can have the same details like Username, e-mail, etc.The user will receive the mail shown in Fig. 7 upon form submission.

Step 5: After Login, users will be prompted to enter OTP sent on their phones.
Forget Password
Step 1: In case, a user forgets the password then he can open the login page and click on “Lost your password?” to reset the password.

How to Make CSD AFD Online Payment?
Instructions for Making Online Payment for CSD AFD
To make an online payment for CSD AFD, there are several options available. The Payment Gateway offers various modes of payment such as Credit/Debit Card, UPI, Net Banking, and Bank Transfer.
If you choose the Bank Transfer mode, you will need to download the e-challan generated by the Payment Gateway. This e-challan will provide you with the virtual Account number, IFSC code, and the exact Amount to be deposited via NEFT/RTGS. Take a printout of the e-challan and visit your bank to request them to process the NEFT/RTGS transaction according to the details mentioned on the e-challan.
It is important to note that each e-challan is valid for a single transaction only. If the amount transferred does not match the amount specified on the e-challan, the Payment Gateway will reject the payment. In such cases, a refund will be issued back to your bank account.

Eligibility of Four-wheelers in CSD AFD Online Portal
AFD Car Eligibility Policy Rules 2023
The below table describes the eligibility of purchasing Against Firm Demand (AFD) items (Car/Four wheeler) for Armed Personnel in the CSD AFD Online Portal. The below conditions are applicable for purchasing cars in CSD updated in 2021.
CSD Beneficiary Pay Level 3A to 6
- Armed Forces Personnel (Serving and Retired) and Widows
- 6 Lakhs excluding Taxes for the First car while in service and the Second car after Retirement. First car after a minimum of Five Years of service. The gap between the purchase of Two cars is Eight years. For Widows, if the late husband had purchased a car each while in service and after retirement then the widow will not be eligible to buy a car. In case the late husband had purchased only one car while in service, then the widow can buy one car through CSD after a gap of Eight years from the date of the last Purchase.
CSD Beneficiary Pay Level 7 to 9
- Armed Forces Personnel (Serving and Retired) and Widows
- 7 Lakhs excluding Taxes First car as an OR, second car on promotion as JCO, and third car after retirement. First car after min Five years of service. The gap between the purchase of Two cars is Eight years. (For Widows, if the last husband had purchased a car each while in service as well as after retirement then the widow will not be eligible to buy a car. In case the late husband had purchased car (s) only while in service, then the widow can buy one car through CSD after a gap of Eight years from the date of the last purchase.)
CSD Beneficiary Pay Level 10 to 18
- Armed Forces Personnel (Serving and Retired) and Widows
- 15 Lakhs excluding Taxes
- Once in Eight years
CSD Civilian Pay Level 11 to 18
- Serving Civilian Officers (Paid out of Defence Estimates) in Pay Levels 11 to 18.
- 15 Lakhs excluding Taxes
- Once in Eight years
Purchase of AFD CSD Items via Online Portal – Terms and Conditions
The item obtained through this online portal is intended strictly for personal use and shall not be sold or transferred before a minimum period of four years from the date of purchase (for four-wheelers, the minimum period is five years). Any violation of the specified rules, such as being ineligible based on Pay Level, providing incorrect category information (Officer – JCO – OR), purchasing four-wheelers with a gap of less than eight years, or acquiring two-wheelers or any other AFD1 item with a gap of fewer than four years, will result in the following consequences:
(a) The demand for the item will be canceled.
(b) All Canteen Smart Cards associated with the account will be blocked for a duration of three years.
(c) A refund of the purchase amount will be issued after a period of 90 days.
(d) In the case of Serving Personnel, the relevant unit will be notified to initiate disciplinary proceedings.
Should I decide to withdraw my application or cancel my demand for any personal reasons after the Purchase Order has been issued, the following actions will be taken:
(a) A “Cancellation Charge” equivalent to 5% of the total cost of the item will be deducted from the refund amount.
(b) The remaining refund amount will be provided after a period of 90 days.
It is important to note that any “Chargeback/Disputes” regarding online payment methods used on this portal will not be entertained, as the funds are deposited into the Consolidated Fund of India (CFI). Any refunds due to me must be obtained separately from the Depot-CSD Head Office and not from the issuing bank.
CSD AFD Urgent Information to all Beneficiaries
Rates, as received from OEM, are updated in the portal and items are available for sale. If an item/index is not visible in the portal means that the selling rate is not submitted by OEM due to changes in model /price /production issues etc. Such items will be available for sale as and when rates are received & updated in the portal.
