CSD Army Canteen Car Entitlement Table 2026
The Canteen Stores Department (CSD) has released the updated Car Entitlement Rules & AFD-I Purchase Eligibility for 2026. These rules apply to all serving, retired Armed Forces personnel, widows, and eligible Defence Civilian employees. 🛒 Eligibility Criteria for Other AFD-I Items (2026)
Includes: Two-wheelers, ACs, TVs, Fridge, Washing Machine, Laptops, Desktops, etc.
📺 TVs
✔ Eligible to purchase two TVs in a block of 4 years.
❄ ACs
✔ Allowed to purchase four ACs in a block of 4 years.
📦 Other AFD-I Items (except Four-wheelers)
✔ One item every four years from the date of last purchase.

⌛ Purchase Gap Rule
✔ Minimum 4 years gap between purchase of the same AFD-I item (including two-wheelers).

Only one type of AFD-I item can be purchased at a time within the permitted time gap.

If not then what’s the expected date of its launch?
The ceiling of Rs 8 lac ceiling is not adequate to by a decent car, for ORs upto pay level 5. The ceiling should be at least Rs. 10 lac without taxes to buy a decent family car. Not all below pay level 5, is going to buy a car costing Rs 10 lac, without tax. Fixing of ceiling to be reasonable considering the price escalation of cars.
